In a New York Minute (NY Countdown Day 7)

Hello, and an extra-big HELLO to God-like genius Andy Suriano, who contributes today’s excellent guest illustration of my man Barock:

For those who don’t know, Mr Suriano is half of the mind behind Image’s brilliantly barmy CHARLATAN BALL. And he is, as mentioned, a genius. This pic arrived, entirely unsolicited, last night - and it made me grin like a loon. Ain’t it spankin’? I’m nagging him to do more - you should too!

Thanks for the post, Dan. It was so much fun; like playing with someone else's toys. You've created some great designs.

GO WOLFBOY!!!

BTW, Dan, I was attempted to do a Hellius sketch, but got discouraged. Heh. Haven't really drawn much superheroes in years and damn near suck. :o

Greg, dammit - I wanna see your Helius!

(lord, we're back onto wangs, again)

Haha! After all these years I finally know what to call my "friend" :-D

Awesome job, Andy! I really love it. I've been meaning to check out your book, and now I feel overwhelmingly compelled.

Thanks!

Thanks guys! And I cannot wait for Jersey Gods, Glen.

--and I'm hard at work on more sketches.

You should arrange a swap, for Andy to draw an issue of JERSEY GODS and Dan to draw an issue of CHARLATAN BALL. Or a crossover.

wangs?
AGAIN??
that was sooooo last blog...

btw, is there going to be anything involving everyone's favourite green-skinned amnesiac?
(a JG/DW crossover would probably be epic)

Hans - it's a blinder, isn't it? All hail Wolfboy!

BH, the solicitation text for the JERSEY GODS trade tells me it's going to have a "behind the scenes" art section, but a proper sketchbook down the line would be brill. If you cats make this book a hit, we'll see what we can do!

Andy - thanks again, squire. Can't wait to see what else you've got up yer sleeve. By the way, I just ordered ish one of Brave and the Bold. SO excited.

MC - crossovers make me hot. I think we're aiming to make JG something standalone, entirely seperate from the rest of the Image Universe. But there's always the possibility of a dimensional rift opening up over Cherry Hill...

Lordi, we're having a moratorium on wang-references till ooh... the next update? And here's how fried my brain is - when you mentioned a green-skinned amnesiac I genuinely thought you meant Savage Dragon. Anyway, I might do a DW update soon (and I'm in the process of writing part two of the next story in the arc, where we delve a bit into Majenta's past. And there are robots!).

Savage Dragon?
*looks up*
lol XD
and YAY!ROBOTS!!

That is a fantastic drawing, Andy!
Now when are we going to get a Charlatan's Ball/Jersey Gods crossover?

Great stuff and I had to download all the design files on this blog so I can draw some Jersey Gods when my hand heals...
