Monster Monster!

Quick sketch of Alec and Abbey from Swamp Thing, one of the best couples in comics history. There might be inks (and colours?) in this thing's future.

EDIT: And here it is! I over did the background texture, and messed up a nice detail I had planned, but it's otherwise not bad. Sigh. I knew I'd lose something with the inks, I always bloody do. Still a nice drawing though.

Wonderful work! So delicate, and still direct.

Bravo!

Thanks a lot, Mike! You can probably tell that I LOVED drawing this. It's the opposite of what I'm working on professionally at the mo, so it came as a nice break.

Beautiful work, Dan! You've really captured the spirit of the Alan Moore-era Swampy. Great stuff... I'd love to see more...

Lovely, you seem to be channeling the rootsy woodcut style brushwork of totleben/alcala, think the artists that worked on Moore's swamp thing run is one of the best art teams ever, especially when seen in those great black and white titan book collections of the 80's. Top!

Cerebus, I loved drawing this so I certainly might draw more.

Alfie, that's a lovely comparison, thanks. And how great were those large Titan reprints?? I read that War on Gotham arc first in that format, and it blew my socks off. Remember that first creepy reveal of Lex Luthor? Brilliant stuff.
